The Madness Starts Tomorrow

The new chapter in our lives starts today. This is the week that school starts back in session. I am really looking forward to life getting back to normal and things settling in until November when things in my world will explode once again. The pictures start flowing for High School stuff and those kids are involved in everything and if they aren't, they should be. I hate to see the warm weather come to an end though. I don't think I really got warm yet this summer. The tomatoes are just barely coming on and I am thinking that they are a couple of weeks late. I am finally starting to see my peaches turn but school and activities are just starting to move anyway. Well - take those pics and lets get them into a book where we can have the rememberances that we want to take with us. Digital scrapbooking is the funnest thing since sliced bread. Don't wait, get started!!

Dog Days of Summer

Here we are in the last days before school starts. The weather is stifling most of the time and then it rains and brings with it the relief of extreme heat. I am so grateful for the rain and the smell of sage and rain mixed. Remember to start getting those photos in order so that we can spend the winter getting them into books so we can have a rememberance. Our stories need to be told and that is what we are about. Lets tell our stories so that our families, children and those we love can see what we are about!

August is Here

Wow, I can't believe August is here and fall is right around the corner! I was putting some photos together last night and thinking I have got tons to do!! I love working on my son's books and getting their stuff all lined up so that we can have some memory books. As school becomes closer and closer on the horizon and we know the crazy days of summer are about over, it is more and more apparent that it is time to get back in gear for what we normally do. I love putting the stories of my family history together and I hope that you do too. If you need assistance, let me know and I will do everything I can to help you out.

End of July!

The end of July always brings with it mixed feelings for me. It is hot during the day, the nights are usually balmy. This morning I awoke to the soft rain and a little thunder to go with it. Of course, I love the humidity and the temperature was just right. This is my kind of weather. I spent a little time on the computer last night and I have been finding all the left over things that I want in my son's scrapbook and collecting them so that I can get them scanned in. I love scanning in the physical stuff and then putting it in the book so that I can throw everything away and there is no bulk. How lovely is that? De-junking and family history all at the same time!! Totally awesome! When the printed book comes, I just throw most everything out - that is the bohm!

Fresh Idea

It is the middle of summer, the evenings are a treasure. Take your laptop outside, sit in the swing or on the patio and work on your treasures as you relax at the end of day. The memories will flood back and it makes for an enjoyable evening. Even if all you are doing is playing, it is very relaxing and theraputic to stroll through memory lane.

Mid Summer

Wow, lots of Red, White, Blue and spirit!! I hope all had a lovely celebration this past weekend! It always makes me feel good to know that I live in the "land of the free and the home of the brave"! I love to express those feelings on pages showing flags and parades and fireworks. It really is fun to see and remember these days of celebration with family and friends and this year just seemed extra special. We love the good food, time with family and traditions that keep us together. Family reunions are also a great time to take some pictures and remember each other along with ancestors.

I hope that your summer is filled with love and memories and remember to take those photos so they can play in your pages!
